Topkapi Palace Istanbul; on a finger of land at the confluence of the Bosphours, the Golden Horn and the Marmara Sea stands the Topkapi Palace, that maze of buildings that was focal point of the Otoman Empire for XI. to XIX. C.

The construction of the palace was started year in 1460 and was finished year in 1478 several years predence to the demise of Fatih Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror.
